The Ameritron AL-1500 Linear Amplifier will deliver 1500 Watts CW output with only 65 Watts drive. It gives you the Herculean Eimac 3CX1500A/8877 tube for full legal output with minimum exciter wear.

Reliability?  The AL-1500 has been designed and tested to pass a 1/2 hour PEP two-tone test at 2500 watts plus.

The AL-1500 also features time delay starting to protect the tube and over-current shut off to remove the drive if mistuned. A commercial grade die-cast ball bearing blower provides quiet operation at full rated airflow to maximize tube life.

Except for using a different, higher dissipation tube, the AL-1500 shares all the rugged features of the AL-1200.
