DX Engineering Garden Antennas™
- Low profile - Stealthy enough to escape notice in many cases
- Quick Disconnect - Take down or put up the antenna in seconds
- Base can be conveniently hidden with simple landscaping
- Efficient, lightweight design provides superior performance
- Complete Turnkey solution to the Fussy Neighbor Problem!
With a maximum configuration of just 9ft in over all height, DX Engineering Garden Antennas™ are perfect for any operator looking for a shortened but effective antenna system.
So, whether you’re looking to slip under the radar of those CC&R's, to make your spouse happy by reducing the visibility of your antenna system, or just short on space, a DX Engineering Garden Antenna™ is right for you.
The DX Engineering Garden Antennas™ have been designed to fill the need for a physically small, low angle radiator antenna that can be easily installed to blend into the environment and still provide superior DX performance that belies its size. Will this antenna beat a monobander at 50 feet? Of course not! But you will be surprised at all the DX that can be worked if you simply install it according to the directions!
The antenna is currently available for the 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12 and 10 meter bands. Band changes are easy and can be completely accomplished in less than 2 minutes..
The antenna’s tophat is made using the patented DX Engineering Hot Rodz® which allow a much more efficient antenna. The use of Hot Rodz® removes the need for loading coils on 10 – 20 meters and reduces the size of the ones needed on 30 and 40 meters, while still allowing the antenna to be shorter than a quarter-wave.
The DX Engineering Garden Antennas™ use a unique impedance matching arrangement at the base of the antenna which allows you to dial-in the lowest SWR available with your particular soil conditions and radial system. Normal SWR is less than 1.2:1 on all bands.
To allow you to cover the maximum number of bands with the minimum investment the Garden Antennas™ are available as a Basic Antenna Unit plus band-specific parts which are chosen by you.
