DX Engineering BEP-5B Antenna Plates are truly versatile pre-drilled aluminum plates that are perfect for your Yagi antenna boom-to-element and boom-to-mast mounting applications. These antenna plates can be used on tower legs, booms, cross-booms, elements and more. They are suitable for use on galvanized steel, aluminum and fiberglass. Use these plates for a virtually unlimited number of applications, such as building or mounting smaller VHF and UHF Beams up through larger 20 meter beams, side brackets, H-frames, truss brackets, strut tubes, tower side-arms, tubing splices, vertical antenna mounts, grounding rods, and so many more! BEP-5B Antenna Plates are fabricated from alloy 6061-T6 aluminum and are ready for the appropriate DX Engineering Saddle Clamps to combine for incredibly secure holding strength on your antenna building and mounting project.
BEP-5B Antenna Plates are pre-drilled for these DX Engineering Saddle Clamps:
-- For mounting a 3.000 in. boom, cross-boom, tower leg or mast use (2) DXE-SAD-300B Clamps
-- Or, for mounting a 2.000 in. boom, cross-boom, tower leg or mast use (2) DXE-SAD-200B Clamps
Then for the other side, mounting perpendicular to the larger clamps:
-- For Mounting a 1.500 in. grounded element, rod, tower leg or tube use (2) DXE-SAD-150A Clamps
-- Or, for Mounting a 1.250 in. grounded element, rod, tower leg or tube use (2) DXE-SAD-125A Clamps

DX Engineering BEP-5B Antenna Plates provide a convenient method for grounded Yagi beam elements to be attached to booms when building Yagi, LPDA or other antennas. They are ready for the saddle clamps to hold a 1.000 in., 1.250 in. or 1.500 in. tubing for the center portion of a tapered antenna element on one side of the plate, and to mount the assembly onto a 3.000 in. or 2.000 in. boom tubing, perpendicular, on the other side of the plate.
Boom to Element Plates are similar in function to Boom to Element Brackets in that they each attach the elements the boom. The primary advantage of these aluminum plates over insulated brackets is that it is a simple mechanical arrangement. The main disadvantage is that the plate does not insulate the element from the boom which means that the element dimensions that you bring from your antenna design program (YO, AO, EZNEC and others) will be incorrect unless you make some length adjustment for the width of the plate and boom.
