Davis Instruments Vantage Pro2 Weather Stations now incorporate many additional features and improvements! For example, their wireless versions now use frequency-hopping 900-MHz spread spectrum technology--they can transmit and receive data at distances of up to 1,000 ft.!

These weather stations have all of the elements that made the original Vantage Pro series famous, but have improved upon many features, such as realigning the control buttons to make navigating to often-used functions much easier! They have also incorporated a redesigned self-emptying rain collector that is laser-calibrated to ensure the best possible accuracy and a re-tooled sensor-suite with integrated temperature and humidity sensors and anemometer. Their integrated anemometer may be detached and placed in a different location. This permits optimal location of the anemometer for the most accurate wind measurement! Their sensor-suite is housed inside a radiation shield, protecting the sensors against solar radiation and additional sources of reflected and radiated heat.
