Chameleon Antenna Broadband Base Dipoles

Chameleon Antenna Broadband Base Dipoles are proven broadband antennas that cover from 3.5 MHz to 54.0 MHz or 1.8 MHz to 54 MHz depending on the length of the antenna. Three models are available to offer a solution that will fit your lot: 60 ft., 120 ft., and 146 ft. Each antenna comes with a broadband matching transformer that can handle 100W SSB, 50W CW, and 25W on all other modes. The Broadband Dipoles can be raised either in an Inverted V configuration, or if you have the room for it, a horizontal dipole. This allows for limited space installations and slightly different radiation patterns.

Utilizing 16-guage Tinned Copper Kevlar reinforced, PTFE wire, these antennas are as rugged as they are practical. Simply connect one leg of the wire to the antenna terminal on the matching network, connect the other wire to the ground terminal, hoist the matching network, stretch out the legs and attach them to supports and you have an antenna that will cover the HF spectrum.

To obtain matches across all bands that an antenna covers, an antenna tuner is required.

The Chameleon Antenna B3D-60 is a 60-foot dipole covering 3.5 to 54 MHz. Featuring two 30-foot legs, it is an excellent choice for portable operations, Field Day events, and installations where space is limited. Its compact size allows multi-band HF operation while fitting comfortably on smaller properties.

The Chameleon Antenna B3D-120 is a 120-foot dipole covering 1.8 to 54 MHz. With two 60-foot legs, it is designed for operators who have more available space and want improved low-band performance while still working within moderate space constraints. It offers excellent coverage from 160 meters through 6 meters.

The Chameleon Antenna B3D-146 is a full-size 146-foot dipole covering 1.8 to 54 MHz. Featuring two 73-foot legs, it is optimized for installations with sufficient space to accommodate a full-length dipole. This configuration delivers outstanding low-band performance and maximum operating flexibility across the HF spectrum and 6 meters.
