DX Engineering 75 ohm Coaxial Lightning Surge Protectors

DX Engineering 75 ohm Coaxial Lightning Surge Protectors feature a unique design that is impedance-matched to 75 ohms and are virtually transparent to all analog or digital bi-directional signals from DC to 1.0 GHz.

Manufactured by Tii Network Technologies for DX Engineering, their patented proprietary coaxial gas tube surge protectors are equipped with an integral failshort mechanism for a power-cross condition, which shunts both the coaxial cables' center conductor and sheath for a common path to ground. The dc breakdown voltage of the protector provides superior protection against transient surges, and yet is compatible with network-powered applications. They may also be used in 75-ohm receive systems up to 1.0 GHz.

The protection element is designed to reset after each over-voltage event and the metallic housing of the coaxial lightning surge protectors provides necessary EMI shielding. When properly connected, DX Engineering Coaxial Lightning Surge Protectors are environmentally sealed (15 psi) to prevent the ingress of moisture and humidity encountered in broadband pedestals, vaults and stand-alone receive antenna applications. Full 360 degree Type F connectors provide superior RF performance and tighter connections.
