DX Engineering Switch Pad 8 Transceiver Memory Keypads are an eight-button external keypad inspired by the popular DM2RM design and engineered for use with select Icom® and Kenwood® transceivers. It provides quick, convenient access to stored voice and CW messages without requiring navigation through keyer menus on the transceiver's touchscreen display.

By moving memory keying functions to a dedicated external keypad, operators can keep the transceiver's main display focused on critical operating information during contesting, DXing, and other demanding operating activities. The Switch Pad 8 also enhances access to transceiver memory keyer functions without the need for computer software or station integration.

For compatible Kenwood transceivers, the Switch Pad 8 offers even greater flexibility. In addition to voice and CW memory keyer control, up to 99 programmable transceiver functions can be assigned to the keypad's eight buttons, as described in the transceiver's operating manual.
