Elecraft 2T-GEN 2-Tone Test Oscillator Signal Generator
Elecraft 2T-GEN 2-Tone Test Oscillator Signal Generator is a project kit that you build. This bench-top generator is designed to provide the test standard 700 and 1900 Hz audio source for measuring the transmitter Intermodulation Distortion (IMD) of SSB transceivers and linear amplifiers. The 2T-GEN allows you to quickly assess the linearity of the transmitter and amplifier. This 2-tone test signal is an excellent stress test for any amplifier. For the transmitter section of the transceiver, as well as for an amplifier, the 2-tone test can help you determine whether your SSB signal has proper fidelity or improper splatter. The 2T-GEN kit has an RCA output connector with plenty of drive transceiver and transmitter microphone inputs, and includes rubber feet for grip and isolation. Conveniently powered by an on-board 9 V battery, but packing a 200mV punch, this signal generator is a must-have for any ham shack. Sold and shipped as an unassembled full kit for an easy-build project.
