Heil Sound HPS-5 Powered Speaker
The Heil Sound HPS-5 Powered Speaker is a great sounding stand-alone speaker with a built-in 24-watt, two-way, ultra-low distortion amplifier. It drives a specially designed 5 inch low-frequency speaker with a 3 inch magnet assembly mounted in a resonant sealed enclosure. A passive extended crossover drives a 2 inch high-frequency tweeter. A mono 1/8 in. miniature (3.5mm) input jack is for connection to any transceiver external speaker or line level output jack. Since this is a mono powered speaker, any stereo audio device may be connected with the appropriate stereo to mono adapter.
The HPS-5 is a companion piece for use with the Heil Sound PRAS-EQ Parametric Receive Audio System Equalizer, which together provide superb audio without distortion. The balanced audio XLR-to-XLR cable to connect the PRAS-EQ to the HPS-5 is supplied with this speaker.
This powered speaker has a rear panel 2 amp fuse and a 2.1mm input for the included 12 Vdc 2 amp power supply. The dimensions of the Heil Sound HPS-5 are 7 x 9 x 6 in. (WHD).
