INRAD Desk Microphone Systems

The INRAD Desk Microphone System combines their best Dynamic Microphones with their heavy DMS-1 PTT Desk Stand and a Transceiver Adapter Cable with coiled cord that connects from the back of the base to your transceiver mic jack. Easy!

These are attractive and great sounding desk mics! The combination of dynamic microphone, locking push-to-talk desk stand with sound isolating mount, mic clip and adapter cable for popular radio brands, are complete and ready to plug in and operate. Choose systems for Icom, Yaesu, Kenwood, Elecraft, TenTec and Flex Radio. Simply choose the mic you prefer with the cable for your radio! To use the same microphone with a different transceiver brand, order and plug in a different accessory cable. It that easy!

Choose from these five INRAD Desk Microphone System models:

-INRAD DMS-629 Represents a revolution in price versus performance for Amateur Radio microphones. Highly unidirectional cardioid dynamic microphone features a large 1.125" diaphragm for clear, full audio response. This mic features excellent articulation with a rise in response to match the characteristics of speech for superior voice intelligibility. INRAD's top of the line microphone.

-INRAD DMS-650 Well-articulated overall audio with overall higher-end output punch for DX operation and for using the speech processor on the radio to drive output. A top-of-the-line mic with less low end response than the M629.

-INRAD DMS-686 Excellent transmit audio response from a unique cardioid dynamic element. Compared to the M629, the M686 has a slightly elevated higher end output useful for DXing. It has a bit of lower end response as compared to the M650, to retain a well-rounded sound with punch. Black metal frame, squared off metal microphone hood. The DMS-868 is a great choice to have it 'all-in-one'.

-INRAD DMS-665 Features the "retro" chrome look reminiscent of the classic Shure 565. This microphone has a little bit less high frequency output plus slightly better overall frequency response. This unique cardioid dynamic unidirectional element features a built-in spherical breath and pop filter. Sounds great!

-INRAD DMS-628 Flat overall response across all vocal frequencies without any boost at specific frequencies to cut lows or highs. Excels when used with an EQ, this is a good all-purpose mic that can be used with just about any HF transceiver. Clean, clear SSB transmit audio at a nice price!

Want a different on-air sound from a different INRAD microphone? The M-series microphones are interchangeable. Unplug the 3 pin XLR cable from the back of the mic and pull it off the clip. Plug in the new mic, put it on the stand. It's that simple! Plus, optional adapter cables are available separately for trying other microphone and transceiver combinations.
