microHAM ARCO ARXC Modules

• microHAM ARCO ARXC Modules are ARCO Rotator Controller accessories that provide expanded control and functionality. These Modules are built in IP65-rated enclosures for dust and moisture protection and are designed to withstand the tough environment of operating outside of the shack. The ARCO Rotator Controller supports up to four chained ARXC modules at the same time. ARXC accessories connect to the DSENSOR port on the ARCO Rotator Controller and use only 4 of the 8 conductors typically found in inexpensive and readily available CAT5 cable, or via an RF Link using a pair of ARXC-LoRa wireless modules.
  
  microHAM MOH-ARXC-LORA modules are long-range communication transceiver modules operating in the 868 MHz ISM band and converts the bidirectional RS-485 communication used by ARCO Rotator Controller and ARXC modules to RF data and back, enabling the wireless connection of ARXC components with the ARCO Rotator Controller. Under favorable topographical conditions, even distances greater than 6,000 ft. can be bridged, which of course would not be possible with a conventional cable. The ARXC LoRa modules do not require software setup in the ARCO controller, as they are already configured at the factory and ready for immediate use. Includes two LoRa modules, enough for a link from an ARCO Rotator Controller to the location of the relays or compass. The LoRa modules are ready to use, simply connect a 12 VDC power source and a control signal to get started. Several LoRa modules can be used at the same time to create a mesh system to reach multiple locations.

microHAM MOH-ARXC-MAG is a magnetic azimuth sensor. It is mounted under the antenna boom with nickel-plated brass mounting hardware and reports the current true azimuth of the antenna to the ARCO Rotator Controller. The ARXC MAG sensor can be used as a primary azimuth sensor, for example, when the original antenna rotor sensor has failed and for monitoring purposes to alert the user that the antenna is no longer aligned to the calibrated azimuth. Activation and configuration of the ARXC-MAG module are quick and easy from the ARCO Rotator Controller user interface.

microHAM MOH-ARXC-REL is a module with four user-programmable relay outputs used for the control of various antenna and polarization switches, mast preamplifiers and other devices which are controlled directly from the ARCO Rotator Controller’s user interface and touch screen, or through internet remote control. Relay outputs of the ARXC-REL can be configured for different behavior types. These types can be combined, the three ARXC types available are BCD-N, 1-of-N, TOGGLE 1-4. Refer to the ARCO ARXC Module user manual for a full explanation of the behavior types. To recognize and properly control a particular ARXC-REL module, each module must be assigned a unique address. This address is set by combining two DIP switches according to the "drawing" on the PCB next to the DIP switch. It is possible to set up 4 different addresses. Each ARXC-REL module has its own settings in the ARCO Rotator Controllers system menu, on their respective ARXC Tabs numbered 1 - 4.
