This model transmits and receives GPS coordinates automatically and displays distances between you and other users.

Crystal clear DMR digital audio is provided by the high quality DVSI AMBE+2 vocoder even in noisy environments such as at construction sites and malls. A powerful audio output of 1 watt insures loud and crisp sound. The large, full-color 1.77 inch display features a menu-driven interface with icons plus large, easy to use keypad buttons provide comfortable operations and easy message reading.

DJ-MD5TGP handhelds include a digital voice recorder for up to 14 hours of communications and sound recording using the internal microphone or optional external microphone. Safety features for group and search and rescue operations include Lone Worker, “Man Down”, Call Alert and Emergency Alarm with GPS positioning options. Security features of Check, Remote Monitor, Kill and Revive are standard. 100 programmable short text messages of up to 200 characters each may be edited using the keypad without using a PC.
