American Beauty Alligator Heat Sinks

American Beauty alligator heat sinks are an easy and affordable measure to protect heat-sensitive components from thermal damage. While many electronic parts are fairly impervious to heat generated in the soldering process, many other components, especially semiconductors and ICs, are not. For them, extra care must be taken.

Offered by American beauty in three styles, their heat sinks can draw heat away from large and tiny parts alike. Their Micro alligator clip heat sink has the tiniest jaws. They are perfect for gripping even the smallest parts. Their oversize pinch-pads make the Micro Alligator Clip easy to squeeze and maneuver.

Their standard Alligator Clip heat sinks are of the typical toothed alligator-clip style, but also incorporate larger pinch pads.

For the largest soldering work, American Beauty has introduced their "Alligator Clip with Barrel" heat sink. This is a standard heat sink but has an integrated barrel connector suitable to accept 4mm (0.160 in.) banana plugs. You may attach bare banana plugs or banana plugs combined with wires, metal rods, braids, or other heat-sinking masses to increase the capacity of the heat sink. When finished, simply unplug the banana plug and return the heat sink to normal.

American Beauty has been in the soldering-tools business since the early 1900s. They know their stuff! When you need to buy soldering tools or supplies, including American Beauty Heat Sinks, think DX Engineering!
