DLW Associates AM Broadcast Band Brick-Wall High Pass Filters
DLW Associates AM Broadcast Band Brick-Wall High Pass Filters are 9th order elliptic designs that have a very sharp slope occurring between 1.8 and 1.7 MHz. These filters effectively attenuate all AM broadcast band signals in excess of 40 dB. It's just as if those signals run into a brick wall!
Proper location for these filters is at the output of an HF transceiver and before an amplifier, antenna tuner or antenna. They are optimized for a 50 ohm input and output impedance.
These filters are packaged in high-quality cast aluminum (O-ring sealed) cases with SO-239 flanged PTFE dielectric coaxial fittings. Their components consist of high-Q high-voltage NPO ceramic and mica capacitors and high-Q toroidal coils mounted on a double sided printed circuit board. The PCB and coils are coated for stability and long life. All mounting hardware is of quality stainless steel.

* Maximum transmit power ratings: 200W CW or SSB
* Pass band loss: less than 0.85dB (1.8 to 54 MHz)
* Stop band loss: greater than 40dB (1.7 MHz and below)
* Return loss: less than 20dB (1.8 - 54 MHz)
* SWR: less than 1.2:1 (1.8 - 54 MHz)
