DX Engineering RG-214 50-ohm Double Shielded Coaxial Cable

DX Engineering RG-214 is a high-isolation, double shielded low-loss 50-ohm coaxial cable. Covered with a black, non-contaminating Type-II-A PVC this cable jacket offers a high level of UV protection and durability for all outdoor uses and direct-bury applications.

Specially manufactured for DX Engineering, our RG-214 is a rugged, flexible MIL-SPEC coax with a 12-gauge stranded silver plated copper center conductor, solid polyethylene dielectric and TWO layers of silver plated braided copper shields to provide exceptional RF isolation and superior power handling performance. This coax is perfect for use where many cables are bundled together and higher RF isolation is critical. Use DXE-214 in bundles of multiple monoband and multi-band directional antenna feedlines on towers, especially for rotator loops. This cable excels at maintaining RF isolation in the shack or in the equipment room of stations that have many antenna feedlines. DXE-214 is specifically recommended for use in VHF/UHF duplex repeater applications.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the double braided shield, the jacket outside diameter of DXE-214 is 0.425 in. Therefore, RG-214 coax cable CANNOT be stripped with the specialized prep tools made for standard 0.405 in. OD, RG-8U, 400MAX and RG-213 size coaxial cables. DX Engineering offers only solder type PL259 and N connectors that fit onto DXE-214 cable. No crimp type connectors are available.
