DX Engineering RG-8X 50-ohm Coaxial Cable Adapter Assemblies feature different silver plated connectors at each end – high quality BNC and PL-259s PTFE dielectric connectors – especially useful for POTA activations and portable operations. Their machine-crimped shields feature 360 degrees of complete mechanical and electrical contact for maximum reliability. All DX Engineering cable assemblies are Hi-Pot tested and heat-shrink weather-sealed for the ultimate in service longevity.

DX Engineering RG-8X 50-ohm Coaxial Cable Assemblies are the most flexible, lowest loss and highest quality coaxial cable assemblies on the market. DXE-8X cable assemblies feature a stranded copper 16 AWG center conductor, gas injected foam dielectric, braided copper shield and non-contaminating, highly water-resistant Type II-A PVC UV stable direct-bury jacket. Our DXE-8X cable assemblies are intended for HF portable applications where the visibility of short antenna cables and flexibility are desired. DX Engineering DXE-8X is the industry standard specifications black jacket coax. DXE-8X is the coax cable most often used for jumpers in the shack and for medium length cables for portable operations, offering significantly better flexibility than larger cables, excellent shielding, and lower loss than smaller RG-58 and RG-174.
