Their positive latching, moisture-sealing, quick disconnect features make them ideal to build an extension, pigtail or test cable for your DXE-RT4500HD or controller. They are a perfect match for DX Engineering DXE-CW1812OR Heavy-Duty Spec Rotator Cable, with 5 conductors: 2 x 12 AWG and 2 x 18 AWG plus 1 x 18 AWG shield.

Each gender are used to build your own rotator cable assembly extension. Just as with standard power extension cords, use female for the power source end and male for the mating end of the extension, so there is never an exposed pin with voltage present. In this case, use the DXE-LP-20-F female connector on any cable, controller pigtail or the rotator end of an extension that can have a voltage present. Use the DXE-LP-20-M male connector on the controller end of the mating extension cable.
