DX Engineering Ferrite Kit for AM Broadcast RFI
For those who live near an AM MW broadcasting transmitter, DX Engineering Ferrite Kit for AM Broadcast RFI can help. Wrap coaxial cables and AC/DC power cables around toroids. Use snap-on beads on speaker leads and other smaller wires.Wrapping multiple turns of the wire or cable through and around the ferrite increases the RFI suppression.The AM-RFI kit has 5 toroids mix-77, ideal for 100 kHz to 50 MHz, identified with a pink band. The 8 medium sized snap beads are mix-31 which also work well for BCB suppression with a few to several turns of a smaller wire around the half of the snap bead before it is closed.
