Professional Waterproof High Audio Output Speaker Microphones, DXE-MIC-ID51-52, are made specifically for use with Icom ID-31, ID-50, ID-51 and ID-52 series Handheld Transceivers. Responding to worldwide demand, this large speaker mic is designed to provide higher audio output without the need for a powered internal amplifier. Users enjoy louder and more intelligible audio compared to other speaker microphones.

Designed for the Amateur as well as the ARES/CAP/CERT operator, the DXE-MIC-ID51-52 housing is rated IP-67 waterproof. It features a large side PTT button, a visible red LED PTT indicator and front mounted pushbutton controls for Channel UP/DOWN and Icom A/B functions that are customary to the Icom speaker mics. This mic meets specifications that are standard within the Land Mobile Radio industry sector. Designed with a larger housing, this size speaker microphone is a favorite for users operating with gloves in more rugged environments, where a professional-grade microphone is required. A unique baffle provides for clearer transmitting audio when used in windy environments.

Connections to the HT use the standard Icom right angled 2-pin connector. The base of the mic has a 3.5 mm jack for an external earphone for use in loud environments or for discreet communications. A robust, professional swivel clothing mic clip assembly provides for 360 degree rotation with positive detent stops every 45 degrees. The mic offers an average of 7-9 dB audio gain over the Icom HM-75LS.
