Engineering studies have confirmed that the absolute best RF connections for double-shielded cables are made by crimping the shield, not soldering. However, most PL-259 crimped center pins aren't long enough and some don't even have enough crimped contact area, which affects reliability. DX Engineering has solved those issues with these custom-designed connectors that we introduced on new DX Engineering 8XDX Series Coaxial Cable Assemblies. These PL-259s have soldered center pins that are full length and full diameter, so they connect properly, even with worn SO-239s.

DX Engineering Next Generation PL-259CS8X series connectors achieve exceptional RF performance with these features:

* Fits all standard RG-8X size cables including DXE-8X, LMR-240 as well as RG-59, RG-62 and many others, including Belden 9258, 8241, 1505 and 7808 series
