DX Engineering Small Utility Enclosure Kits

DX Engineering Small Utility Enclosure Kits are weather-resistant, high-impact thermoplastic enclosures, perfect for outdoor mounting of lightning protectors or other equipment. Their design ensures protection against rain and direct water spray. These DXE-UE-1P enclosures are a smaller option compared to the larger DXE-UE-2P enclosures. The thermoplastic housing and wire entrance materials are fire retardant, UV stabilized, and resistant to degradation from environmental contaminants, chemical fertilizers, and insecticide sprays. Additionally, the housing can be painted with latex or oil-based paints.

* NOTE: The DXE-UE-1P accommodates coaxial protectors that have a Flange Mount bracket, or those that work with an accessory bracket, to mount the connectors parallel with the grounding plate. Bulkhead Mount protectors that place a connector through the grounding plate cannot be used.

Included with the DXE-UE-1P:

• (1) Weather-resistant Enclosure, Exterior rated, Dimensions: (WxHxD) 9.40 x 9.20 x 4.10in.

• (6) Stainless Steel Hex Washer Head Slotted Sheet Metal #8x1/2in. Screws

• (1) Pre-drilled 6061-T6 Aluminum Mounting Plate - (WxH) 8.0 x 4.0in.

• (2) Weather tight coaxial cable feed through couplers (DXE-CFT-2P) ideal for most RG6 or RG-8X sized coaxial cable - Note: Color may vary

• (1) 2.0 x 1/2in. x 1/8in. thick copper strap clamp with two drilled holes

Since these enclosures have many potential applications, no holes have been pre-drilled in the enclosure itself. However, the aluminum mounting plate comes with four pre-drilled holes. Four of the six included 1/2-inch sheet metal screws are used to secure the mounting plate to the enclosure, while the other two 1/2-inch screws are for attaching the copper strap clamp to the mounting plate.

If used, the watertight feed-through couplers are mounted at the top of the enclosure. Cable entry and exit openings are located at the bottom of the enclosure and are sealed with a foam insert to protect the cables.
