1. Premium Hi-Viz Antenna Wire helps you achieve top performance and long, trouble-free operation at a very reasonable cost. This PVC-insulated 14 AWG stranded copper wire is comprised of 19 strands of 27 AWG solid copper. Its relaxed brightly colored PVC insulation rolls out easily, unlike coated electrical wire which coils and kinks. Our premium Hi-Viz antenna wire is well worth its price, especially for ease in handling. Many years of successful wire antenna installations have proven this insulated copper wire is strong enough for virtually every wire antenna application. Suggested installation includes supporting the antenna feedpoint to properly handle the weight of the coax and balun so that the wire only supports itself. When placed under extreme stress, this copper wire will stretch before breaking, allowing it to serve in a longer lasting installation. For those who actually want to see their ground radials, use any one of the colors of this "Hi-Viz" wire! This 14 AWG Stranded Copper (0.0142 in., 19 strands) has break load of 92.5 lbf, an overall diameter of 0.111 in., and weighs about 0.22 oz. per ft.

2. Portable Hi-Viz Antenna Wire is very thin, at 26 AWG, and is very light-weight, jacketed in rugged PVC. For its size and weight this is a surprisingly strong stranded copper-coated steel wire. A length of 62 feet weighs in at only 1 oz. Known as "kite wire" it is ideal for antennas intended for back-packing, camping and portable operations where you want to see the wire easily. This is the wire to buy to build a center-supported HF stealth dipoles, inverted-vees or modest length end-fed wire antennas. This 26 AWG Stranded Copper-coated Steel (0.019 in., 7 strands) has a break load of 24.5 lbf, nominal overall diameter of 0.041 in., and weighs 0.016 oz. per ft.

NOTE: The insulation of this wire is not UV protected. Long-term sunshine UV exposure will cause the color to fade to off-white.

Both types of DX Engineering High Visibility Antenna Wire, Premium 14-gauge and Portable 26-gauge, are available with either Bright Green, Bright Pink or Bright Yellow insulation in lengths of 150 ft., 250 ft. or 500 ft.
