The 220L6 features a 6-element LPDA design with 7.3 dBd (9.5 dBi) gain, a 28+ dB front-to-back ratio, and broadband coverage of the entire band without retuning. Additional features include low SWR, either an SO-239 or Type-N feedpoint connector, 150 watts of power handling, and rugged, lightweight construction suitable for both fixed-station and portable use.

Built on a 24-inch corrosion-resistant aluminum-alloy boom, available uncoated or black powder-coated, with stainless-steel hardware throughout, the 220L6 is designed for years of dependable outdoor service. The feedpoint is located at the front of the boom, which also identifies the antenna's forward direction for aiming toward the desired station.
