Heil HC 5.1 Retro Kits include a great, new dynamic microphone element that can be used to bring an old microphone back to life and into the present! The original D104 crystal elements are no longer available, but don't pitch out that beautiful piece of history! Now you can create an upgraded version of your old microphone with this modern element and use it on almost any radio!

Intended to upgrade old desk mics such as the D-104, 444, and others, even those "made" by radio manufacturers, these kits provide the parts to update almost any desk microphone that has a broken or bad sounding element. These new elements are a fantastic upgrade from that constricted, muffled, bad sounding legacy desk microphone element. Heil HC 5.1 Retro Kits let you save the tradition of using an “original” companion microphone with a vintage radio, without sacrificing audio quality.

These kits include mounting foam and instructions. Also included is a blocking capacitor for rigs with electret voltage on the mic connector, such as Icom. Plus, the included XT-1 Low to High Impedance Matching Transformer allows the HC 5.1 Retro Kit to be the perfect upgrade for your older Hi-Z mic input transmitters and transceivers. Or use these elements directly with low impedance mic inputs, for great sounding audio from almost any old microphone!
