Heil Sound Pro Set 6 Headsets

Heil Sound Pro Set 6 Headsets are lightweight, versatile boom-mic headsets designed for comfort, durability, and above all, performance.

Pro Set 6 headsets utilize the HC-6 element which allows the Amateur operator to take advantage of the microphone EQ of their modern transceivers. Designed to accommodate commercial broadcast applications, the HC-6 element -3 dB points are fixed at 100 Hz and 12 kHz with a sensitivity of -57 dB at 600 ohms of output impedance (centered at 1 kHz).

Pro Set 6 headsets are equipped with a microphone windscreen that does not affect the frequency response of the microphone and is highly effective in minimizing breath blast while you're speaking.

Pro Set 6 Headsets feature full size oval, over-the-ear style headphones with heavily stuffed cushions for operator comfort during long operating stints. The supplied ear pad covers are removable for washing and replacement pads are also available. Besides sealing out noise passively, Pro Set 6 headsets now include Heil Sound's exclusive phase reversal technology, which allows the user to "move" the incoming signal by engaging the phase-reversal switch. This creates a unique spatial widening sound that may, in some situations, significantly improve copy in a tough DX pileup.

Purchase an AD-1 series Headset Adapter Cable (sold separately) for a simple connection to the transceiver mic input. The adapter is 6 in. long and has a 1/8 in. female input jack for the headset boom microphone and a 1/4 in. female for the PTT (push to talk) line for the Heil foot or hand switch. The headset stereo plug goes into the headphone jack on the transceiver front panel.
