The revolutionary Dualwatch Function supports simultaneously receiving various radio signals from different sources. While receiving on the “A-band,” you can simultaneously scan the “B-band,” ensuring you never miss an opportunity to capture interesting radio signals such as, efficiently handling demanding aircraft radio reception by tracking the movements of two airplanes simultaneously. In FM / FM-N modes, The VSC (Voice Squelch Control) function supports automatically skipping undesired signals, for example, control signals, unmodulated signals and receiving only voice communication in scanning. You can use the VSC together with various signaling functions.

High-speed scanning capabilities enable the IC-R15 to scan at a rate of 150 channels per second, significantly reducing waiting time. Additionally, the ‘skip’ function allows users to effortlessly bypass unwanted or disrupted channels. The built-in recording capability enables simultaneous recording of two received audio signals onto a microSD card as a WAV file, allowing you to listen to them later without missing anything. The recorded audio can be played back directly on the IC-R15 or your PC. Information such as frequency, mode, S-meter, and time (user setting) can also be recorded with the audio and so you can find out later when the audio was recorded.

The built-in Bluetooth® function frees you from bothersome cabling of headsets and earphones providing improved usability and flexibility, so you can concentrate on operating. The powerful BP287 3280 mAH Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack provides a long battery life of up to 13 hours of continuous use*.
