The Icom ID-5200A VHF/UHF Dual Band Digital Mobile Transceiver is a flagship Icom dual-band transceiver designed for operators who demand advanced functionality, exceptional visibility, and intuitive control. Featuring a large 4.3-inch full-color touchscreen display, the same used in the IC-705 and IC-7300MKII, independent dual-band tuning, volume, and squelch controls, dedicated physical function buttons for quick access to frequently used menus and settings, and the industry's first mobile transceiver waterfall display, the ID-5200A allows operators to monitor signal activity, band conditions, and frequency availability with remarkable clarity.

True dual-band simultaneous reception supports FM/FM, FM/DV, and DV/DV operation, enabling users to monitor two D-STAR repeaters simultaneously or follow multiple communications at the same time. In addition, the radio supports V/V, U/U, and V/U dual receive operation for greater monitoring flexibility across amateur radio and AirBand frequencies. Enhanced D-STAR capabilities include Terminal Mode, Access Point Mode, DV Repeater Monitor, and image transmission and reception, while built-in 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi® with access point capability and Bluetooth® connectivity provide seamless integration with smartphones, PCs, and internet-based operation.

Additional features such as the Memory Scope function, microSD card support, automatic display brightness adjustment, Airband reception, USB Type-C connectivity, an integrated GNSS receiver, and APRS® support right out of the box from any Android device.
