Overview
InnovAntenna 50MHz 6-Element LFA-MAX Low Noise Yagi
InnovAntenna 50MHz 6-Element LFA-MAX Low-Noise Yagi is about 3 ft. shorter than other 6-element 6 meter beams with only 0.7dB less forward gain! It offers excellent performance across the important 50.0 – 50.4 MHz weak signal section of the 6m band. Even though this Yagi has a boom length of only 19.16 ft., it produces a forward gain of 11.2dBi and boasts an incredible front-to-back of 31.5dB. This rugged 6 element LFA-MAX LFA2 second generation Yagi has a Bent Reflector system designed to enhance SWR bandwidth and front-to-back. And it features a direct-feed 50-ohm feedpoint which eliminates matching losses.
G0KSC LFA Yagis are a major step forward in the development of the Yagi Antenna, providing an ultra low-noise "front-end" for any advanced 50 MHz radio. Their well suppressed side lobes in both H and E planes provide excellent side and rear rejection of unwanted signals and noise, making this model ideal for very noisy city locations.
The InnovAntennas 6-element LFA-MAX Yagi antenna is ready to weather severe conditions, with an strong square aluminum tubing boom that is 1.57 in. (40mm) by 0.078 in. (2mm) wall thickness. Tapered elements consist of oversized 0.63 inch (16mm) element centers and 0.51-inch (13mm) element end sections, both with 0.078 in. (2mm) wall thickness. Fully insulated elements ensures continuous, high performance in all weather conditions for many years to come. The boom-to-mast bracket accommodates up to a 2-inch (50mm) mast for this horizontally polarized 6-element LFA-MAX Low Noise Yagi antenna.
Also used in production of InnovAntenna LFA Yagis:
Marine Grade Stainless Steel Fittings
Original Stauff Insulation clamps
Mill finished boom and elements for highest levels of accuracy
InnovAntennas are constructed with the best quality materials in order to achieve the best possible mechanical construction, not the cheapest or most profitable. A digital caliper is used to measure the elements during production to ensure parts or within 0.2mm tolerance, ensuring each antenna works as well as the design software model predicts.
A great deal of development time was put into InnovAntenna Yagis, but not only on the advanced electromagnetic design. Extensively modeling on the effect of insulators, booms and other parts ensures that every component of InnovAntenna Yagi has the least effect on performance and pattern degradation.
For the 6-meter ham in the city where noise is a problem, money is tight, but who wants very good gain and amazing front-to-back performance, this 6-element LFA-MAX is ready for you!
