Overview

InnovAntenna 50MHz 9 Element LFA-KW Yagi

InnovAntennas 50MHz 9 Element LFA-KW Yagi is a giant. This 49 ft. long boom, low noise Loop Fed Array model achieves the Lowest Ever Noise Figure! The G0KSC LFA Yagi is a major step forward in the development of the Yagi Antenna, providing a low noise "front-end" for any advanced 50 MHz radio to easily hear weak signals. This amazing 9 element LFA provides stunning performance across the 50.0 – 50.4 MHz weak signal section of the 6m band. This antenna is hard to beat with a direct-feed 50 Ohm feedpoint, no matching losses and suppression of unwanted noise. EME reviews on the Internet confirm that this 9 element LFA is an excellent antenna. It's very highly suppressed side lobes in both H and E planes make this model ideal for very noisy city locations.

The LFA-KW Yagi antenna is made to survive the elements, with a 2.5-inch (63.5mm) square 0.126 in. (3.2mm) wall-thickness aluminum boom, with tapered elements consisting of 1/2-inch (12.7mm) element centers and 3/8-inch (9.525mm) outer sections. The antenna has fully insulated elements which ensures continuous, high performance for many years to come. The boom-to-mast bracket accommodates a 2-inch (50mm) mast and a Kevlar multi-point boom support system is provided with this horizontal only LFA Yagi antenna. A very capable and accurate tower-mounted rotator is required.

Also used in production of InnovAntenna LFA Yagis:

  • Marine Grade Stainless Steel Fittings

  • Original Stauff Insulation clamps

  • Mill finished boom and elements for highest levels of accuracy

InnovAntennas are constructed with the best quality materials in order to achieve the best possible mechanical construction, not the cheapest or most profitable. A digital caliper is used to measure the elements during production to ensure parts or within 0.2mm tolerance, ensuring each antenna works as well as the design software model predicts.

A great deal of development time was put into InnovAntenna Yagis, but not only on the advanced electromagnetic design. Extensively modeling on the effect of insulators, booms and other parts ensures that every component of InnovAntenna Yagi has the least effect on performance and pattern degradation.

For the 6-meter enthusiast who wants to beat the noise AND have maximum gain and front-to-back performance, THIS is the 50MHz Yagi for you.
