JK Antennas JK401 40 Meter Rotatable Dipoles
JK Antennas JK401 40 Meter Rotatable Dipoles are ideal antennas for use in a limited area. Their center-loaded element results in a turning radius of only 23.5 ft. in width. Compare that with any 40 meter Yagi and you'll discover the compact dipole's space advantage.
While dipole antennas offer no gain (except an average 2.1 dB over an Isotropic) they are time-tested and reliable. Rotatable dipoles have the ability to reduce QRN or QRM by positioning unwanted signals off of the antenna's major lobe. Rotation requires only a light to medium duty rotator.
Like all JK Antennas, these dipoles are of robust build and offer a far-wider bandwidth than a comparable wire antenna. They have a 250 kHz 2:1 bandwidth and lend themselves to use with any antenna tuner. Your built-in or external antenna tuner will achieve full frequency agility across the entire 40 meter band. A 50 ohm 1:1 balun (not included) is required at the antenna feed point.
