La Crosse Technology BC-500 Alpha Power Battery Chargers are specifically designed for AA and AAA size batteries. The vast majority of La Crosse weather products uses these two battery sizes, so providing an advanced charging system for these batteries only makes sense.

Alpha Power Battery Chargers go way beyond your normal alpha-size battery chargers. They not only charge the batteries, but they also discharge, test, and condition batteries to extend life and restore capacity. An onboard processor and LCD display provide analysis and precise data on each individual battery--up to four at a time, in all. You may also mix AA and AAA sizes in the charger in any combination, and the charger will automatically sort them for proper treatment! These BC-500 chargers will supply up to about 1,800 mA of charging current to begin charging four batteries, and then drop to about 200 mA to complete the charge cycle. This lower charge rate is ideal for prolonging battery life.
