MAT-TUNER MAT-Y200 200 Watt Yaesu Antenna Tuner

MAT-TUNER MAT-Y200 200 Watt Yaesu Antenna Tuner is specially designed for Yaesu transceivers, for high power operations up to 200W SSB. The MAT-Y200 connects via the 8-pin mini-DIN Tuner port, labeled on some Yaesu transceivers as CAT/LINEAR or LIN/TUN (description varies by model) and is operated by the front panel of the radio. The included MAT-CY Interface Cable connects the radio to the tuner, which provides band data and 12 volts DC power.

The MAT-Y200 provides automatic antenna tuning across the entire HF spectrum at power levels up to 200 watts, plus 6 meters up to 100 watts max. It can tune dipoles, verticals, Yagis, long wires, or virtually any other coax-fed antenna. The impedance matching range of 5 to 1500 ohms far exceeds the capability of the transceiver's internal automatic antenna tuner and it features 16,000 frequency memories for instant recall of previously used settings. It has a superior build quality with a machined, black oxidized aluminum case and excellent multi-layer circuit boards.

The MAT-Y200 works with Yaesu transceivers that support the FC-30, FC-40 and FC-50 Yaesu external tuners. Here is a partial compatibility list: FT-100D, FT-857/D, FT-897/D, FT-450/D, FT-710, FT-710 AESS, FT-891, FT-950, FT-991, FT-991A, FTDX10, FTDX-1200, FTDX-3000, FTDX-101D, FTDX-101MP. (NOTE: The FTDX-101MP transceiver will automatically set the maximum RF power to 100W when using an external tuner.)

The FTDX-5000 and FT-2000 are not compatible with the MAT-Y200 because those transceivers do not have an external tuner port. The FT-847, which uses a different protocol, is not compatible with the MAT-Y200. For these transceivers choose the universal model MTU-MAT-125E with RF-sensed automatic tuning. The FT-817/818 transceivers are not compatible with the MAT-Y200 tuner.  Instead, choose the mAT-10 Tuner specially designed for the FT-817 and FT-818.
