Paradan Radio Hi-Rate2 Headset with Foot Switch

Paradan Radio Hi-Rate2 Headset with Foot Switch is an improved stereo headset with a boom microphone, a foot switch and cable assemblies that fit most of the popular transceivers and plug directly into your radio’s mic jack. The “push-to-talk” foot switch provides hands-free operating for QSOs, DXing and especially for Contesting. Your hands are now free to enter the call signs and reports on the keyboard, all the while switching from receive to transmit by depressing the footswitch, dramatically increasing your contesting QSO rate!

This commercial stereo headset is lightweight, comfortable and easy to adjust. The soft ear pads effectively reduce background noise and the sensitive electret microphone has a wind shield to help reduce breath “popping” noises. The sturdy, commercial-grade footswitch requires minimum force to activate. This set is an AF4Z design.  

Six different cable assemblies are available: Icom 8-pin round, Icom RJ45, Yaesu 8-pin round, Yaesu RJ45, Kenwood 8-pin round, and Elecraft 8-pin round.

Paradan Radio Hi-Rate2 Headset with Foot Switch Includes:

• Stereo Headset with earphones and electret microphone with wind shield

• Footswitch with 5 ft. cable and 1/4 in. plug

• Headset splitter cable: 1/8 in. stereo socket to two 1/8 in. plugs (Red is mic output, Green is earphone audio input)

• Radio Mic Cable: Microphone 8-pin round or modular plug to 1/4 in. PTT socket and to 1/8 in. MIC socket

• Adapter: 1/8 in. stereo socket to 1/4 in. stereo plug for headphone jack of some transceivers
