Restoring Old Radio Sets

"Restoring Old Radio Sets" is a practical guide that explains what you need to do and how to do it when bringing an old radio back to life. You'll find inside topics that include cleaning methods for electrical and mechanical parts, making typical electrical repairs, and the process for performing live tests. There are sections on fault-finding methods and alignment and calibration of the working set; as well as useful guides to a major key in completing a successful restoration: knowing how to treat the cabinet (wood, Bakelite, or plastic). The tools, materials, and techniques needed for your restoration are all discussed, along with the care and maintenance of the finished item. Safety issues are not forgotten, and the hazards inherent in such a restoration are covered, along with steps minimize them.
