Sangean HDR-14 Portable Digital Broadcast Receivers

Sangean HDR-14 Portable Digital Broadcast Receivers deliver the best performance in HD radio reception and quality audio in a compact design that fits in the palm of your hand. With its stylish design, the front panel features a large, easy-to-read back-lit LCD, power button and other essential controls like memory presets, tuning, band selection, and information display. The HDR-14 features HD digital and analog AM/FM-Stereo reception and a massive 40 memory presets (20 FM, 20 AM) to store your favorites and simply recall them by selecting the recall page and then pressing the desired memory location button. The built-In retractable stabilizing stand is a handy feature that will keep this radio standing upright, even with the telescoping antenna fully extended. Other features of the HDR-14 include alarm and sleep functions by either radio or buzzer, snooze, support for Emergency Alerts and a Battery Low LED Indicator. The included lock switch prevents the unintentional operation of the radio. You will also appreciate the HWS (Humane Wake System) as it escalates the volume of the alarm for one minute, then stops for one minute and then repeats this process for up to one hour.

HD Radio technology enables the ability for radio stations to multi-cast up to three additional HD channels besides the main program service using the station's current frequency allocation in addition to displaying song title, album art (on equipped radio models), genre and other station information. The HDR-14 is equipped with the PAD (Program Associated Data) Service, which displays information such as channel frequency, call sign, radio text, audio mode, service mode, signal quality and time. The clock on the HDR-14 will automatically synchronize its time whenever the radio is tuned into a station that supports RBDS (Radio Data Broadcast System).
