A Built-In Smart Battery Charger will keep your NiMH batteries charged and ready to go when switched into charging mode. Insert two AA batteries to back up your clock and station presets in case of power loss (batteries not included).

Save your favorite stations with 15 memory presets (5 FM1 / 5 FM2 / 5 AM and 5 Weather Bands) and find them quickly with the handy auto-scan feature. The Sangean U-4 Alarm features two built-in alarm timers with HWS (Humane Waking System) that wakes you to your choice of a buzzer or radio, starting with a soft low volume that gradually increases. Seven NOAA Weather Alert Channels sound an audible tone when an extreme weather condition is imminent, or a police emergency has occurred.

Easily pair your mobile devices with built-in Bluetooth or connect them to the built-in 5V 1A USB port for charging while you work. FM Radio Data System – Clock Time (RDS-CT) will automatically adjust the date and time, including compensation for Daylight Saving Time, once per minute from RDS-equipped radio station broadcasts and will display other important information such as station ID, channel frequency and program-related information.
