VA6AM Engineering HF Band-Pass Filters are very high-quality multi-stage inline passive electronic devices designed to specifically limit the transmitting and receiving RF passband to a single Amateur band. VA6AM Engineering Diplexers and Triplexers provide good levels of isolation between band ports. The multiplexer's main purpose is to provide 50-ohm SO-239 connections for multiple transceivers and balance the impedances for a single 50-ohm feedline to a multi-band antenna. However, VA6AM Engineering HF Band-Pass filters are REQUIRED for each multiplexer band input to provide the additional isolation required to allow multiple transceiver setups to function properly. In the multi-transceiver contest station, each “monoband” transceiver is connected to the appropriate band-pass filter, which is connected to the appropriate multiplex band input, which is connected to a multi-band beam, for example.
