Vectronics DL-650M Dummy Loads

Vectronics DL-650M Dummy Loads are dry, air-cooled, resistive dummy loads employing a tuned hyperbolic cone that is optimized over their frequency range.

DL-650M dummy loads are usable for RF power measurement up to 1,000 MHz. These loads are capable of dissipating up to 1,500 watts on average from DC to 650 MHz. A reasonable cool-down period is needed to keep the resistor from becoming permanently damaged (typically 10-20 times the load usage).

Some DL-650M details:

* Impedance: 58 Ohms (at room temperature)
* Impedance: 50 Ohms (at operating temperature; 250 C)
* SWR: less than 1.3:1 DC-300 MHz; less than 1.5:1 from 300 to 650 MHz less than 2.0:1 from 650 to 1000 MHz
* Power Dissipation: 1500 watts average for up to 20 seconds maximum (refer to chart printed on the unit for derating)
* Duty Cycle 20 seconds on at 1500 watts with 200-400 seconds off period (5 to 10 percent)
* Resistor Type: Dispersed carbon particles fired in ceramic matrix
* Resistor Energy Density: 700 joules per cubic inch

Vectronics DL-650M dummy loads are ideal for terminating a hybrid four-square antenna controller, off-air transmitter testing, or for universal use in the ham shack or at your repair bench.
