VE2DX Electronics SDR1-TRPLUS RF Sense Transmit/Receive Switches are unique hybrid Transmit/Receive switches that can be controlled automatically by detecting the RF from the transmitted signal or manually via PTT. The SDR1-TRPLUS switch family features a superior new approach that utilizes state-of-the-art design and high-quality components.

With the advent of software-defined radio (SDR), there was a growing need for a straightforward way to install an external SDR receiver into an existing station. This can easily be accomplished by inserting the state-of-the-art SDR1-TRPLUS Hybrid switch between your antenna and transceiver and then connect your SDR Receiver to the SDR Antenna Port on Switch.

The SDR1-TRPLUS will automatically monitor incoming RF from the transceiver while simultaneously monitoring the PTT (push-to-talk) signal from your transceiver (optional). This ensures your SDR receiver is switched offline to prevent any damage from transmitted RF signals. The SDR1 Hybrid Switch achieves this by automatically grounding your SDR receiver antenna. While these SDR1-TRPLUS switches were designed for SDR receivers, they can be easily converted for use with any receiver using a simple SMA to PL-259 (or Male N-Type) coaxial adapter.

The RF area is shielded from the switching area, and the front and rear panels are PCBs with double sided shielding. Each power line, control signal, and their grounds are also RFI-filtered.
