Bushcomm FD-100 Broadband Folded Dipole Antennas
Bushcomm FD-100 Broadband Folded Dipole Antennas are compact folded dipole alternatives to their best-selling model, the BBA-100 three-wire broad-band antenna. FD-100 Folded Dipoles not only cover the same frequency range as the BBA-100, it has the same overall length and the same power input of 125W PEP. Best of all, as with the majority of Bushcomm antennas, no tuner is required. These folded dipoles are multi-wire but relatively light in weight. By having only two stainless steel wires compared to the BBA-100's three wires, they also have less wind loading and an SWR of better than 2.5 (typically 1.5-1.6). Don't think that just because this is a less expensive antenna that it means quality or performance has been compromised in any way. It's still built to withstand the rigors of the world's harshest environments. FD-100 specifications: * Frequency Range: 2-30 MHz * Input Impedance: 50 Ohms * Power Input: 125w PEP (voice) for 2-30MHz * Input Connector: UHF-type socket * Antenna Length: 88.5 ft. * Mast Spacing: 105 ft. Bushcomm HORIZON 2040 Center-Fed Dipoles
Bushcomm HORIZON 2040 Center-Fed Dipoles are designed to be durable in the extreme. They are also very economical over the long haul. These stainless steel and copper antennas are constructed for emergency, temporary or permanent installation in some of the world's most inhospitable environments and they are built using only the highest-quality materials. And at only 13 meters in length, they will easily fit into most installation scenarios. Commercial antennas are rated with a usable VSWR of 2:1 or under. Rating the Horizon 2040 using this method the resonant band width is appropriately 150 kHz at 40 meters, 300 kHz on the 20 meter band. In most cases this will be fine. But if you prefer wider band width or tighter SWR an on-board tuner or the addition of a good-quality external tuner will help. When manufactured the antennas are hand tuned at approximately 3m (10 feet) above ground. For this reason, when you install the antenna, the height above ground or proximity of trees buildings sheds and so on will affect your SWR. You may have to retune for your requirements. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. Dipole antennas are tried and true since the very beginning of radio. Order Bushcomm HORIZON 2040 Center-Fed Dipoles from DX Engineering for your Go-Bag, RV, or the back yard!

Bushcomm Three-Band End-Fed Antennas
Bushcomm Three-Band End-Fed Antennas are designed and manufactured in Australia and are intended to offer simple and very efficient operation on the 40, 20 and 10 meter bands. Constructed for emergency, temporary or permanent installation in some of the world's most inhospitable environments, they are built using only the highest-quality materials. At only 12 meters in length, they will easily fit into most installation scenarios. Commercial antennas are rated with a usable VSWR of 2:1 or under. Rating the Horizon End-Fed using this method the resonant band width is appropriately 100 kHz at 40 meters, 300 kHz at 20 meters and 400 kHz on the 10 meter band. In most cases this will be fine. But if you prefer wider band width or tighter SWR an on-board tuner or the addition of a good-quality external tuner will help. These antennas use the grey balun box as their feed point and termination point for one end of the antenna. This end can be a tower, pole, side of the house, tree etc. Simply stretch the main radiating element outwards and pull it tight with your support rope. As the wire is G304 stainless steel, it may be pulled quite tight and will not stretch. This antenna is ground independent so grounding or radials are not required. When manufactured the antennas are hand tuned at approximately 3m (10 feet) above ground. For this reason when you install the antenna the height above ground or proximity of trees buildings sheds and so on will affect VSWR. You may have to retune for your requirements. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. End-fed antennas are gaining popularity. If you have the kind of space available there, you will have no problem erecting a very-long wire antenna system. Here in North America, so many of us live on a 70 by 120 ft. lot, dictated by urban development, that the longer antennas are problematic at best. To meet the need for a wideband dipole that would fit many customers' lots having no room for a full-size 80 meter antenna 132 feet long, Bushcomm of Australia and DX Engineering offer a solution that is elegant, very high quality, and offers a wideband multi-wire 80 through 10 meter antenna of smaller physical size. BBA-100DXE Multi-Wire Broadband Dipole Antennas are highly efficient and engineered to provide tuner-free operation on all bands 80 through 10 meters.
