Chelegance JMAT-50 Counterpoise Magnet Mats
Chelegance JMAT-50 Couterpoise Magnet Mats help provide capacitive coupling when using an antenna that doesn't have enough ground plane. Constructed of a metallic cloth, covered with a film laminate, these magnetic mats are durable and will stay where they are placed. One mat, when attached to a vehicle, should be sufficient to help cover from 7 to 50 MHz. Two of the mats together should provide enough of a counterpoise (along with a vehicle) to tune on the 3.5 MHz band. The ground braid that connects the mat to the antenna is replaceable and a shorter (less than 7") is recommended to prevent tuning failures. Rated to handle 500 Watts on SSB and 200 Watts on CW and FM, this mat is suitable for the most popular portable radios out there.
