COMTEK 20VA 20-10 Meter Vertical Antennas

COMTEK 20VA Vertical Antennas are rugged, yet economical quarter wave antennas designed primarily to be used in sets with phased vertical array systems. They are well suited for Four Square arrays from COMTEK and DX Engineering or any other four-square array systems. These monoband 20VA antennas may be used on any single band from 20 meters through 17, 15, 12, 11 or 10 meters by adjusting the length accordingly. Designed by the people who know all about phasing, these antennas provide precise control of all parameters. These verticals are constructed from 6063-T832 (drawn, not extruded) aircraft-specification aluminum tubing. COMTEK 20VA antennas taper from a large 1.0-in. OD base section to a 3/4-in. OD top section. While they're built to withstand the most rugged environmental conditions, light guying is always recommended for phased systems to keep the spacing precise and minimize swaying. High-strength, UV-resistant EXTREN insulators that won't crack, peel, splinter, or fail will ensure you of years of long-lasting, reliable performance under adverse conditions. Mounting brackets are laser-cut by the latest state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. Stainless steel hardware is used throughout and the antennas come complete with V-saddle clamps for installation to your ground mounted pipe. Pipe of 2.0-in. OD is recommended but the clamps will accept any OD from 1 in. to 2 in. Plumbing galvanized water pipe called 1-1/2 in. size is actually 1.9 in. OD and works well.
