DX Engineering RT4500HD Heavy-Duty Rotator – The ultimate azimuth positioning rotator, purpose-built to work flawlessly for many years in a majority of tower mounted directional antenna systems. Every aspect of this rotator was designed for high-strength, ease of installation, serviceability and longevity. This rotator is extremely capable and worry-free for tower mast mounted directional antennas. The RT4500HD Heavy-Duty Rotator has capabilities that rival most rotators available on the Amateur Radio market. With an impressive list of features and benefits, it is noteworthy that this rotator does not have mechanical limit switches. Soft rotation limits are set in the optional controller to match the limits of the installed antenna cables. If the antenna or the mast ever slips, simply reset the controller to the new center of rotation and recalibrate the rotational range. Climbing or antenna mast repositioning is not immediately required. The part number DXE-RT4500HD is the stand-alone rotator unit only, which does not include a Top Mast Clamp. This allows for the selection of one of two different size Rotator Top HD Mast Clamps available, both also sold separately, that matches popular mast outside diameters (OD); DXE-RTMC-2 for 2-inch OD mast and DXE-RTMC-3 for 3-inch OD mast. Similar part numbers with added suffixes represent combinations that include the DX Engineering RT4500HD Heavy-Duty Rotator with either the 2-inch or the 3-inch Rotator Top HD Mast Clamp. Other part numbers include either the DXE-RT-21DXE Digital Rotator Controller or the microHAM ARCO Advanced Rotator Controller. Rotator control cables and cable assemblies are sold separately. DX Engineering Rotator Top HD Mast Clamps significantly improve the connection between the rotator and the mast. The mast gripping pressure of these clamps is completely adjustable, by limiting the torque applied to the included clamping fasteners. Available in two sizes, for 2 inch OD and 3 inch OD masts, based on the K7NV design, these are the heavy-duty original equipment mast clamps for the DX Engineering RT4500HD Rotator. The 2 inch OD HD Mast Clamp is also a heavy-duty replacement for M2 Antennas OR2800 Positioners and Yaesu G2800-DXA, G1000-DXA, and G800-DXA Rotators. The 3 inch OD HD Mast Clamp version fits only the DXE-RT4500HD and M2 OR2800. DX Engineering Rotator Super Duty Mast Clamps
DX Engineering Rotator Super Duty Mast Clamps are designed to be used where maximum torque handling is required on aluminum, steel, Chromoly steel or stainless steel mast tubing, significantly improving the connection between the rotator and the directional antenna rotating mast over other types of mast clamps. With the choice of two Super Duty Saddle Clamps or the "HD" model with three Super Duty Saddle Clamps, these remarkable rotator mast clamps are available in three sizes; for a 2 inch OD mast (DXE-SDMC-2 and -2HD), a 2.5 inch OD mast (DXE-SDMC-2-5 and -2-5HD) and a 3 inch OD mast (DXE-SDMC-3 and -3HD), intended for use only on tubing, not for fractional sized pipe. Rotator Super Duty Mast Clamps are designed and manufactured to mate with the DX Engineering DXE-RT4500HD Heavy Duty Rotator. Each powder coated steel Super Duty Mast Clamp vertical plate has holes for the applicable Super Duty Clamps and the base plates have an integral weep channel to ensure moisture is not trapped in the mast. These mast clamps are complete, supplied with two (standard) or three (HD) Super Duty Saddle Clamps, stainless steel backing plates, rugged 8-18 stainless steel 3/8-16 hex mounting and clamp bolt sets, with all fastener hardware included. Available here, individually, are the "remarkable and elegant" 4-pin interlocking weather-sealed rotator control line connectors that have metal bodies to provide RF shielding, as supplied with the DXE-RT4500HD. These DX Engineering Rotator Control Line Connectors are top-of-the-line cable-mount solder connectors that are intended to be used outdoors, for a lifetime of reliable control line termination. Their positive latching, moisture-sealing, quick disconnect features make them ideal to build an extension, pigtail or test cable for your DXE-RT4500HD or controller. They are a perfect match for DX Engineering DXE-CW1812OR Heavy-Duty Spec Rotator Cable, with 5 conductors: 2 x 12 AWG and 2 x 18 AWG plus 1 x 18 AWG shield. Each gender are used to build your own rotator cable assembly extension. DX Engineering Tic Ring Wheel Replacement Kits
DX Engineering Tic Ring Wheel Replacement Kits are an amazing value, ready to breathe new life into your Tic Ring Rotator assembly. Over time, the wheels (rollers) on a typical Tic Ring need to be replaced as part of routine maintenance. The DXE-TRWHEEL kit supplies all of the wheels, flat washers and cotter pins needed for either application. DX Engineering DXE-TR-WHEEL kits include two sizes of high-quality MDS filled cast nylon rollers that fit most Tic Rings in use today. Not all Tic Rings are identical and there are many variations. Some use 6 wheels that are all the same size. Some use a combination of four small wheels (0.397" ID) and two larger wheels (0.640" ID). Replacing the wheels on the Tic Ring one at a time is easy. 1. Remove the existing cotter pin and discard it. 2. Remove the old wheel from the roller shaft and discard it. 3. Clean any contamination from the roller shaft 4. Install the new wheel over the wheel shaft. 5. Install the proper flat washer. 6. Install the cotter pin. 7. Bend the legs on the cotter pin to keep the assembly in place. 8. Move to the next wheel and repeat the sequence.
