DX Engineering Shielded Control Cable

DX Engineering Shielded Control Cable is a high quality shielded cable that is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. It features nine #24 AWG annealed tinned copper stranded conductors with color coded PVC insulation and aluminum foil shielding, plus a bare #24 AWG stranded tinned copper drain wire. This RoHS compliant cable supports an eight port remote switch with 1-of-8 control lines plus a common ground conductor AND a separate shield conductor. This cable has a thick, durable, chrome-gray PVC jacket. Plus, using a cable that has stranded conductors relieves the worry of breaking one of the conductors; unlike a different type of cable made with solid wire. This shielded control cable is ideal for use with DX Engineering Remote Antenna Switches, Four Square and Phased arrays, and should be considered a great choice for any of your low-current, custom remote switching applications. This cable is excellent for building accessory cable assemblies, RS-232 data cables, switching cables, and for control of low-voltage relays including receiving and transmitting antenna arrays. This cable is not intended for use with rotators or other medium current applications. You may order DX Engineering Shielded Control Cable by the foot in any lengths up to 500 feet and is available in a 1,000 ft. roll. Here are the "specs" on this very useful shielded control cable: Number of stranded conductors: 10 Number of insulated conductors: 9 Insulated conductor AWG (Strands): 24 (7/32) Drain wire AWG (Strands): 24 (7/32) Insulation nominal wall thickness: 0.010 in.
