The two shorter sets have 48 in.. sections, one has four pieces with a 2 in. bottom section that can extend to 15 ft., and the 7 piece set that extends to 25 ft. has a 2.50 in. base. The two sets that extend to 46 ft. tall consist of seven 90 in. sections. The standard set starts with a 2 in. base and the Heavy Duty 46 ft. model features a massive 3 in. bottom section. DX Engineering Cam Lock Clamp Kits
DX Engineering Cam Lock Clamp Kits provide fast and easy operation of portable telescopic non-metallic masts. Four kits of multiple clamps are offered which cover ten sizes of Cam Lock Clamps for a comprehensive selection. These mast clamps are the type that permanently mount on the lower tube and allow fast telescopic mast extension and collapsing using the integral Cam Lock Lever that secures the smaller inside tube. Each clamp has a number stamped on it, which helps to identify the Cam Lock Clamp. Each Cam Lock Clamp kit includes a 3mm Allen wrench that fits all three cap screws, two for the lower tube mounting clamp and one on the upper Lever adjustment. Once properly adjusted, the closed Cam Lock Lever will hold the upper tube in place very securely. A vinyl cap is included to cover the top of the smallest fiberglass tube being clamped. NOTE: Tightening adjustment of the Cam Lock Clamp cap screws is typically required for normal operation. When Cam Lock cap screws are correctly tightened, clamped upper sections stay in extended position. DX Engineering Aluminum Tubing
DX Engineering High-Strength Aluminum Tubes are ideal for your antenna building projects. It is made available in sizes that fit into and over the next, with close tolerances specifically designed for strength when joined and overlapping only by a few to several inches, to build Yagi, Moxon or vertical antenna elements. NOTE: This tubing is NOT intended for each size to telescope completely into the full length of the next; it cannot be used for telescopic mast building. DX Engineering aluminum tubing is manufactured to very close tolerances. This provides the greatest amount of surface contact between nesting tubes for mechanical and electrical stability. Due to the close tolerance, any burrs, dirt, grit or other foreign material, as well as dents, dings and unseen bending or crushing suffered during shipment will cause binding that prevents this aluminum tubing from fully nesting. 6063-T832 seamless drawn aluminum tubing is available in 3, 6 and 12 ft. lengths. 6063-T832 tubing provides good resistance to general corrosion, including stress corrosion cracking, and an excellent surface appearance. Use a series of 3 ft. lengths to build an element that tapers more quickly for lower wind-resistance applications. Use a series of 6 ft. lengths to make an element that tapers more slowly for greater strength and bandwidth. The 12 ft. lengths are great for HF Yagi construction. Most sizes (except 12 ft.) are available slit on one end for use with DX Engineering stainless steel element clamps. If un-slit ends are required for your applications, merely insert the slit end into the next larger size in the stack and use your own attachment method. 6063-T832 tubing features a 0.058 in. wall thickness and is available in 1/8 in. increments from 3/8 in. to 2-1/8 in. O.D. 3003-H14 drawn aluminum tubing features a 0.035 inch wall thickness and a 1/4 inch outside diameter. Each piece is supplied with non slit ends and is available in both 3 foot and 6 foot lengths, making them ideal for your antenna building projects. If your setup requires maximum strength at very long assembly lengths, then choose DX Engineering 6061-T8 tubing. This heavy-duty version features a 0.120 in. wall thickness and is available in 1/4 in. increments from 1-1/2 in. to 3 in. O.D. Packaged shipments of 6 ft. tubing have oversize shipping fees, regardless of the number of 6 ft. pieces. Therefore, order more 6 ft. pieces to spread oversize fees over more tubing for a more cost effective shipment. Tubing that is 12 ft. long MUST be shipped by truck freight. DX Engineering Project Fiberglass
DX Engineering Project Fiberglass is NON-TELESCOPING tubing which is intended to be used as independent parts, or as stock to be cut for parts. Use it for whatever your imagination can devise: cut it into pieces for coil forms, shelf legs, side arms, and so on. The sky is the limit for the number of uses when there is no requirement for telescoping or wall thickness consistency. DX Engineering Project Fiberglass is limited-availability, non-telescopic fiberglass tubing, sold only in a variety of non-nesting sizes and only as eight foot lengths. An oversize shipping charge will apply. These tubes have a nominal and variable wall thickness of approximately 0.120 inch. Their variable wall thickness makes their openings non-concentric at any point along their length. Therefore, even though two tubes may actually fit or slide together for part of the way, they may get stuck together if you force them. DX Engineering Telescoping Aluminum Antenna Tubing Kits
DX Engineering ATK65A Telescoping Aluminum Antenna Tubing Kits employ twelve aluminum tubes that may be used as rope-guyed vertical radiators. Intended for portable or temporary operations, these kits may also be used in a well-guyed permanent vertical antenna installation. They're a good DIY vertical antenna element for Field Day, DXpeditions, RVs, SOTA, camping, and more. Guying is required (three or four levels of rope guys are needed when these kits are extended beyond a 30 ft. height), so guy rings are included. ATK65A kits consist of 11- 6-ft. sections and one 3-ft. section of DX Engineering's rugged 6063-T832 drawn aluminum tubing. The kit also includes all required stainless steel element clamps. The bottom section is the 2.0-in. outside-diameter heavy-wall (0.120 in. thick) that mates up to 2-1/8 in. diameter tubing with an 8 in. overlap, and then back to 2-in. diameter tubing with a 5 in. overlap. Each sections continues the element taper down to 7/8-in. diameter at the top. The overall length of the assembled sections can reach up to 780 inches, or 65 feet. These kits are well suited as vertical radiators for your custom-designed single vertical antenna or in multiples in a two or four element array. They may be set to resonate on any HF band at any length up to 65 feet by simply removing or telescoping the sections and clamping them at the desired length. NOTE: This vertical antenna tubing kit is NOT intended to be used as a support for other antennas. Two different DX Engineering Antenna Boom Tubing Kits can be used to replace a 3-in. boom of either 24 ft. or 48 ft. in length. Also, both extra heavy -duty aluminum tubing boom kits are the perfect choice to provide the backbone for the Yagi project of your dreams! The DXE-ABT3-24R supplies two 24 ft. pieces of heavy-wall aluminum tubing; one 3-in. OD tube and one 2.715 in. OD piece that telescopes inside the larger tube to provide superior reinforcement. The DXE-ABT3-48 provides three pieces of heavy-wall tubing in total; two 24 ft. pieces of 3-in. tubing and a 24 ft. long 2.715 in. diameter splice insert that fits 12 ft. inside each larger tube for reinforcement, to create a truly exceptional 48 ft. boom. These heavy-duty antenna booms are suitable for Yagis and log periodic arrays from 40 through 10 meters. These booms are not pre-drilled for assembly and will require drilling and fitting to suit your needs. Before assembly, any dirt or foreign material will need to be removed from the boom pieces and splice piece. The inside and outside of all tubes must be thoroughly cleaned. This will allow smooth joining of the aluminum without jamming. Application of SS-30 Jet Lube is also a must to allow long lengths of the precision aluminum splice tube to telescope inside the boom tubes.
