These porcelain insulators accept large guy lines, dead ends or bent-pin shackles and are suitable for all guyed towers where breaking strength for each insulator is not exceeded.

DXE-502 insulators are rated at 10,000 lbs. breaking strength. The more-massive DXE-504 insulators take that number to 12,000 lbs. of force. Stranded steel 1/4 EHS cable has a breaking strength of about 6,500 lbs. DXE-504 insulators are nearly twice that value!
