DX Engineering TB-400 Advanced Design Thrust Bearings offer a major advance in mechanics that solve the issues with competing tower mast bearings that wear out too quickly. They are specifically designed for a vertically mounted 2.5 to 3.0 inch OD tower mast installed for the efficient rotation of directional HF, VHF, UHF and SHF antennas.

DX Engineering TB-400 Advanced Design Thrust Bearings offer a major advance in mechanics that solve the issues with competing tower mast bearings that wear out too quickly. They are specifically designed for a vertically mounted 2.5 to 3.0 inch OD tower mast installed for the efficient rotation of directional HF, VHF, UHF and SHF antennas.
Introduced in early 2022, the upgraded DX Engineering TB400 features high quality stainless steel ball bearings and stainless steel races that keep the bearings very clean. Compared with ANY OTHER thrust bearings, our TB400 thrust bearings are firm and strong with an ultra-low rotation resistance that has to be seen to be believed. These heavy-duty bearing assemblies are cast from high-strength zinc-aluminum alloy, precision machined and assembled to last for the life of the tower installation.
DX Engineering Thrust Bearings are 7 in. diameter overall and mate with tower bearing plates for ROHN or Amerite towers. DX Engineering thrust bearings mount directly to the pre-drilled "Flat-Top" Tower Section models 25AG4 45AG4, as well as on Bearing Plate models BPL25G, BPL45G, or BPL55G which may be added to straight 25G, 45G or 55G Tower Sections, respectively. They may be used on the combination model BAS25G Bearing Accessory Shelf for straight 25G Tower Sections. They may also be used on any Amerite Tower and accessory that corresponds to the ROHN part numbers listed above, including tower-top bearing shelves for AME-25, 45 and 55 series towers.
NOTE: Accessory Shelf models that fit inside of ROHN or Amerite 25G do not accommodate DX Engineering Thrust Bearings. These bearings are intended only for top mount on flat top 25G tower.
The DXE-TB400 3 inch Thrust Bearing includes mounting hardware Patch Bolts (4) are 1/2-13 x 1-1/4 inch long. Patch Bolts have a yellow thread lock compound (one time use) on the threads to help ensure the bolts stay tight once installed. If removed, another thread lock compound will be needed prior to re-installation. The three stainless steel mast capturing and centering hex head bolts are 3/8-16 x 1-1/2 in. long with stainless steel hex nuts. The TB400 accommodates a mast size range of 2.500 to 3.000 in. OD.
