DX Engineering High Visibility Antenna Wire
DX Engineering High Visibility Antenna Wire is available in two different sizes and compositions, Premium 14 AWG and Portable 26 AWG, both available in three bright fluorescent insulation colors that cannot hide from view; Bright Green, Bright Pink and Bright Yellow! "Hi-Viz" antenna wire is here! 1. Premium Hi-Viz Antenna Wire helps you achieve top performance and long, trouble-free operation at a very reasonable cost. This PVC-insulated 14 AWG stranded copper wire is comprised of 19 strands of 27 AWG solid copper. Its relaxed brightly colored PVC insulation rolls out easily, unlike coated electrical wire which coils and kinks. Our premium Hi-Viz antenna wire is well worth its price, especially for ease in handling. Many years of successful wire antenna installations have proven this insulated copper wire is strong enough for virtually every wire antenna application. Suggested installation includes supporting the antenna feedpoint to properly handle the weight of the coax and balun so that the wire only supports itself. When placed under extreme stress, this copper wire will stretch before breaking, allowing it to serve in a longer lasting installation. For those who actually want to see their ground radials, use any one of the colors of this "Hi-Viz" wire! This 14 AWG Stranded Copper (0.0142 in., 19 strands) has break load of 92.5 lbf, an overall diameter of 0.111 in., and weighs about 0.22 oz. per ft. 2. Portable Hi-Viz Antenna Wire is very thin, at 26 AWG, and is very light-weight, jacketed in rugged PVC. For its size and weight this is a surprisingly strong stranded copper-coated steel wire. A length of 62 feet weighs in at only 1 oz. Known as "kite wire" it is ideal for antennas intended for back-packing, camping and portable operations where you want to see the wire easily. This is the wire to buy to build a center-supported HF stealth dipoles, inverted-vees or modest length end-fed wire antennas. This 26 AWG Stranded Copper-coated Steel (0.019 in., 7 strands) has a break load of 24.5 lbf, nominal overall diameter of 0.041 in., and weighs 0.016 oz. per ft. NOTE: The insulation of this wire is not UV protected. Long-term sunshine UV exposure will cause the color to fade to off-white. Both types of DX Engineering High Visibility Antenna Wire, Premium 14-gauge and Portable 26-gauge, are available with either Bright Green, Bright Pink or Bright Yellow insulation in lengths of 150 ft., 250 ft. or 500 ft.

DX Engineering USB Isolator
DX Engineering USB Isolator, DXE-ISO-USB is an inline Solid State device that provides surge protection between two USB 2.0 devices, typically a transceiver and a computer. The DXE-ISO-USB is a passive device that requires no power, and it has two ports, one USB A and one USB B. It is bi-directional, so it can be installed in either direction. The supplied USB A to USB B standard patch cable, 19.7 in. (500mm), can be reversed and used for either type of equipment connection with the opposite connector to the mating port on the ISO-USB. A user supplied cable must have the opposite mating connector for the ISO-USB and its other end must have the USB connector type that provides connection to the second piece of equipment or computer. Often, an identical USB A to USB B will be on hand or is readily available. USB interface cables between several types of equipment can serve as a conduit to lightning pulses or other unexpected voltage pulses. For example, a damaging surge can occur whenever one device is connected to an antenna feedline that also has a USB cable to the other device, which is connected to a commercial AC power main, or through a DC power supply. The DXE-ISO-USB protects a transceiver from a voltage surge coming from the computer, and vice versa, it protects a computer from a surge from a transceiver. The maximum USB 2.0 speed of the DXE-ISO-USB is 480 Mbps (Mb/s). This supports RS-232 COM port data speeds greater than the fastest 115,200 bps baud rate selection found in most USB capable equipment. PLEASE NOTE: The DXE-ISO-USB does NOT support USB C Gb/s data speeds, and it does NOT pass sufficient DC current for charging or powering a device. Maximum current is 100mA (0.1A). It cannot be used for data storage devices and is not to be used for charging. In an unusual application, two different user supplied cables, USB A to USB C and USB B to USB C, could be used to provide DXE-ISO-USB protection between two USB C devices, as long as neither device is supplying or drawing power.

DX Engineering Tinned Copper Radial Wire
DX Engineering Tinned Copper Radial Wire is the same wire as used by the most successful contest stations and DX enthusiasts for their ground-mounted vertical antennas. This 16 AWG tinned solid copper wire is an extremely cost effective solution for the high-count, full-size ground radial wire systems that are required for top-performing HF vertical antenna installations. This is especially true for 4-element Four Square Array Systems, 3-element ProStack Arrays, and 2-element Dual Vertical Arrays. Why is this wire the absolute best choice for any ground-mounted vertical antenna? Because, DX Engineering Tinned Copper Radial Wire will last much longer in a variety of soil conditions as compared to bare copper, copper coated steel and aluminum wires. Unfortunately, radials deployed with those other wire types actually corrode and degrade rather quickly, but do so slowly enough that the operator may not easily perceive that degradation in terms of antenna system performance. Full radial system integrity is maintained for a much greater number of years with tinned copper wire. Depending upon soil type, installations with DXE-TCRW16 will maintain vertical antenna performance for many, many years… and even decades. DXE-TCRW16 is available in small, easy to handle spools in lengths of 500 feet (DXE-TCRW16-500), 1,000 feet (DXE-TCRW-1000), 2,500 feet (DXE-TCRW16-2500) and 5,000 feet (DXE-TCRW16-5000). NOTE: To prevent accelerated corrosion and the possibility of noise, do not use metal anchor pins (lawn staples) on Tinned Copper Radial Wire. Use only DXE-STPL-100BD Biodegradable Anchor Pins to hold down bare wire radials. DX Engineering Tinned Copper Radial Wire is the right choice for long lasting top-performance radial systems for your ground-mounted vertical antenna system.
