DX Engineering 75 ohm Coaxial Lightning Surge Protectors feature a unique design that is impedance-matched to 75 ohms and are virtually transparent to all analog or digital bi-directional signals from DC to 1.0 GHz. Manufactured by Tii Network Technologies for DX Engineering, their patented proprietary coaxial gas tube surge protectors are equipped with an integral failshort mechanism for a power-cross condition, which shunts both the coaxial cables' center conductor and sheath for a common path to ground. DX Engineering Coaxial Connection Weatherproofing Kits provide two types of 3/4 inch tape, sealing and vinyl, that provide the right combination of reliable protection for your coaxial connections. This method provides an inexpensive water moisture and UV barrier that is fully capable for a long term installation, but is also easily and cleanly removed for maintenance. Taping, and subsequent removal and re-taping is accomplished quickly and easily with these tape kits. Each weatherproofing kit each contains two tapes; one roll of 3M Temflex™ 2155 Rubber Splicing Tape TES-2155, a conformable, self-fusing sealing tape as the water barrier, and one roll from three different grades of 3M Vinyl Electrical Tape for a UV barrier. Choose from Scotch Supper 88 Premium, Scotch Super 33 Plus or economy 3M Tartan 1710. Each kit will weatherproof six to ten double connections, depending upon the number of overlapping layers used. DX Engineering Coax Grounding Brackets

DX Engineering Coax Grounding Brackets are designed to provide additional grounding of coaxial cable shields. They are manufactured from high-quality stainless steel and are supplied with a stainless steel V-bolt and hardware for fastening them to tower legs. There are two sizes available to fit most tower legs or antenna masts. These brackets have holes for two optional UHF bulkhead connectors; two UHF chassis mount connectors, or two Type-N bulkhead connectors. DX Engineering Coax Grounding Brackets may be used on the tower top junction point for the flexible antenna coax jumpers (often used to form a rotor loop), and the main runs down the tower leg. They are also useful at the base of the tower to provide a solid grounding point before the coax cable is routed away from the grounded tower. While the brackets have serrated teeth to bite through paint and corrosion, there is an additional hole in them so that an optional ground braid or copper strap may be extended for secure grounding. Bulkhead and chassis mount connectors are sold separately. NOTE: Due to the close mounting of the RF connectors closest to where the tower leg or metal pipe may be, some users have suggested to first make the connections weather-tight, then attach the bracket to the tower leg or metal pipe. DX Engineering Three Coax Tower Grounding Brackets DXE-3CTGB-2 provide secure bonding points and standoffs for cable shields and connectors on tower installations. They are designed to help bond cable shields to the tower at the top, bottom, and every 75 feet on taller towers. Regular bonding helps keep the cable shield and tower leg at a similar electrical potential, creating a controlled conductive path. This can reduce the risk of cable jacket damage caused by high-energy pulses from a charged tower or nearby lightning.
