DX Engineering Skyhawk Tri-Band Yagi Antennas
DX Engineering Skyhawk™ Tri-Band Yagi Antennas are the choice of experienced DXers, especially if your interest is HF contesting. DX Engineering Skyhawk™ antennas provide the highest payback in performance and operating pleasure compared to any other single component in your station. The only better antenna choice is to combine one of our DX Engineering Skylark™ Dual-Band Yagi Antennas with the Skyhawk™! These well-designed, single-tower systems offer outstanding performance without the headaches of maintaining more substantial antenna farms. DX Engineering Skyhawk™ antennas reflect the latest computer-optimized design for maximum gain and bandwidth. They are built from the finest materials utilizing heavy-duty aluminum and all stainless steel hardware. Skyhawk™ operates from a single feed line and has a 90 mph wind survival rating! Have you ever had to replace a rotor in February? Skyhawk™ antennas offer minimal wind-loading for their size and are torque-balanced to reduce wear and tear on your rotor. Assembly is easy, as tower top adjustments have been eliminated and the elements are truly locked in place. DX Engineering Skyhawk™ features include: * 90 MPH wind survival rating * EZ-mount system for attaching antenna to mast * All parts de-burred * Stainless steel pop-riveted element locking * No user adjustment - just assemble it and put it up Additional specifications include: 20 meters: * Three elements * Effective boom length: 23 ft. * VSWR: less than 1.4:1 between 14.0 and 14.35 MHz, measured at feed-point * Front to back: >20 dB across the entire band * F/B peaks at 14.150 MHz at 21 dB * Gain: better than 7 dBi across band * 7.4 dBi gain at 14.350 MHz * Front lobe beam width (-3dB points) 63 degrees 15 meters: * Three elements * Effective boom length: 15 ft., 6 in. * VSWR: less than 1.5:1 between 21.0 and 21.45 MHz, measured at feed-point * Front to back: >16 dB across the entire band * F/B peaks at 21.350 at 24.5 dB * Gain: better than 7 dBi across band * 7.6 dBi gain at 21.45 MHz * Front lobe beam width (-3dB points) 56 degrees 10 meters: * Four elements * Effective boom length: 16 ft., 9 in. * VSWR: less than 1.5:1 between 28.0 and 28.9 MHz, measured at feed-point * Front to back: >14 dB across the entire band * F/B peaks at 28.5 at 21 dB * Gain: better than 7.7 dBi across band * 9.2 dBi gain at 28.9 MHz * Front lobe beam width (-3dB points) 47 degrees Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. DX Engineering Shielded Control Cable
DX Engineering Shielded Control Cable is a high quality shielded cable that is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. It features nine #24 AWG annealed tinned copper stranded conductors with color coded PVC insulation and aluminum foil shielding, plus a bare #24 AWG stranded tinned copper drain wire. This RoHS compliant cable supports an eight port remote switch with 1-of-8 control lines plus a common ground conductor AND a separate shield conductor. This cable has a thick, durable, chrome-gray PVC jacket. Plus, using a cable that has stranded conductors relieves the worry of breaking one of the conductors; unlike a different type of cable made with solid wire. This shielded control cable is ideal for use with DX Engineering Remote Antenna Switches, Four Square and Phased arrays, and should be considered a great choice for any of your low-current, custom remote switching applications. This cable is excellent for building accessory cable assemblies, RS-232 data cables, switching cables, and for control of low-voltage relays including receiving and transmitting antenna arrays. This cable is not intended for use with rotators or other medium current applications. You may order DX Engineering Shielded Control Cable by the foot in any lengths up to 500 feet and is available in a 1,000 ft. roll. Here are the "specs" on this very useful shielded control cable: Number of stranded conductors: 10 Number of insulated conductors: 9 Insulated conductor AWG (Strands): 24 (7/32) Drain wire AWG (Strands): 24 (7/32) Insulation nominal wall thickness: 0.010 in. Nominal Capacitance (pF/ft.): 30 Jacket nominal wall thickness: .035 in. Nominal outer diameter: 0.240 in. Cable Temperature Range: -20 to 80 degrees C Cable Voltage: 300 V
